I am using pow web for some time,to be honest pow web offers the best hosting i have seen recently.
my site availability is almost 100%, so much extras,disk space and bandwidth is fantastic, though it doesnt affect the server status,Very helpful staff, and they have a community chatroom, where the pow web users and support staff meeting place and its open 365/24/7 and always someone available to talk to incase of problems, and support staff has solved my few concerns in a matter of minutes,
after so many disapointing hosts in the past i have finally reached pow web, which i should have signed up long time ago!
its just simple as that..

I have never had any issues with email, traffic or downtime. Although customer service was not as resourceful as I had hoped when I contacted them about a domain issue, all in all I have had a wonderful experience.

uptime is fantastic. if you have any problems you can call customer service and they will help you until everything is correct again. i especially had a great experience speaking with john at customer service. he spent three hours on the phone with me to try and figure out why my site was not working properly. it turned out the it was something on my end that needed to be corrected and he was happy to help me with it, even after three hours of checking everything on their end. i have reccommended them to everyone i know and i will continue to do so.

I have mixed feelings about how PowWeb operates. I sell different types of seasonal merchandise on my web site. Some of these items are trademarked and/or copyrighted and the appropriate notice is given on my web site in accordance to the agreement that I have with our suppliers. This past summer some issues about what I was selling and the company contacted PowWeb regarding this issue and demanded that either the merchandise in question be removed or my web site be taken down for threat of legal action againt PowWeb if they did not comply. Even those I had the rights to sell these products PowWeb did not contact me and inquiry about the situation instead my web site was taken off so that no one could view it and without ANY kind of warning.

I haven't had a better experience with any other company but there are some pros and cons. First the cons:
- POP email stops working for an hour or so, while Web Email is OK.
- Sometimes response is VERY slow, for 5 to 15 minutes.
- A couple times the entire site was totally unreachable from here in Asia, for about 5 hours.
Here are the pros:
-OPS control and stuff is good.
-The supported installs I've used (Joomla, Gallery2) worked well, including upgrades.
-And the price is low...
Not perfect, but 'usually works for me'...

Their uptime is generally very good. The server's response time is very good. The active forum is a huge plus. The forum members are very, knowledgable and helpful.

Finally, We have found a host that can keep up with our traffic requirements! We have tried many of the “unlimited” web hosts out and no one has been able to keep up with us. With PowWeb we have not experienced any issues since we switched over. I would highly recommend them for anyone that has a high traffic business or webpage.

Having Powweb as my host has been mostly a benefit to my site. I don't run anything complicated but they have helped me in the areas where I've called upon them. They do have a pretty user friendly site, I'm able to do quite a bit even though I am not tthat swift with computer sites!
