I am a web designer and one day out of the blue I noticed that all of my website (and customer websites) were offline. I tried to log into my account, but was unable. I then called tech support and they forwarded me over to billing, billing then forwarded me to the fraud department. I was told that my websites were taken offline because I was sending massive amounts of spam through them. I let them know that this was not me that was doing so, but that someone must have hacked my account. I asked them if they would send me a list of the affected files and I will gladly fix the issue. They did send me an email within a few hours with the affected files. Although I was unhappy at first I was very glad that my account was protected and they were able to assist me with fixing the problem.

Installation seemed pretty straight forward, so I fired off a single WordPress installation on a brand new hosting account and everything worked perfectly. Need customer support from time to time but am satisfied with my uptime and all the other features of this service

5 days ago I received the 1and1.com account information from my client, and informed them that I would get started right away. I logged into the 1and1 account. The response time of the site was far better than I am used to. Once I learned my way around user interface, I figured out how to open up their hosting "contract". Everything is configured through their amazing user interface, and WordPress is installed through their "Click & Build" applications.

I've been hosting with 1and1 for about 7 years now. They've had some issues in the past when they created new data centers but overall they're quite good. I host multiple sites with them and their features are good and getting better. They just increased the MySql DB size from 100MB to 1000MB at no extra charge, that alone is a wonderful thing.

Their customer support is just okay. They will not answer your questions all the time because they do not have the knowledge and just refer you to another person who will do the same. Otherwise, if I have no questions I am very happy with the service that they provide.

When I first joined, and while using the service, I was very happy with everything. Then it came time for me to cancel, do to personal reasons. This is when my nightmare began, the online cancellation screen looks like it is working but it was not. When I contacted support agents they told me that it has many known bugs in the cancellation system. I was instructed to contact sales and continued to do so for 10 days straight without a response. In the end it took 3 months to cancel, each month getting billed for a service I was no longer using. Like I said when you are up and running this is a great company, however if you are ever in a place where you have to cancel expect to invest a lot of time and money in the process.

This company has the best support of any hosting company I've dealt with since 1997. The price is cheap, and you'll get the support you need. I recommend this hosting company, and would pay 5x more for their good technical support

They are fraudulent. They collect your account details and keep sending you bills even after you have deactivated them. Their packages really sucks and they will leak your entire pocket. I am tagging them fraudulent. New users beware...............

The unlimited bandwidth and free domain name is what originally caught my attention. Once I started working with it I was more then pleased with the ease of the control panel as well as the customer support that I was given when I had any questions. For the cost and the service, 1and1 is the best there is.

This service is reasonale expense for what you get. They do have a support service in india which is sometimes hard to understand, but there costs are really attractive. You do need to be aware they will put you on an automatic renewal. A pretty good service overall though.
