Learning guitar is not that difficult – in my opinion, what you need the most is desire and interest in music. The rest usually takes care of itself. However, there are ways to speed up your learning curve 10’s of times. I’ll share with you what I think is the best method to learn guitar – just read on.
Learning electric guitar is slightly easier – it requires less pressure of your fingers to fret a note, as the strings are closer to the fingerboard. It also requires less powerful strumming and plucking. But generally speaking, there’s very little difference – usually if you can play an electric, you can also play an acoustic guitar.
What’s the best way to learn guitar?
There are basically tree ways – you can learn it all by yourself, you can go to a guitar coach, or you can get some king of program and follow it. In my opinion the last option is the best. I’ll tell you why. I learned all by myself. It took me lots of time. Back in the day there were not these awesome online programs, which you can get for 50$ and after a few days be able to play. Going to a guitar coach costs lots of money – and time. You’ll have to wait a long time before he ever teaches you how to play a simple song.
The learning curve involves a few processes – first you get used to right and left hand coordination and finger movement. Then you learn to move your fingers faster and develop the skin on your fretting hand, so that you can easily fret a note. All of this happens automatically as you practice more and more. It’s not as difficult as it sounds.
Learning the guitar does not require some sort of special talent – anyone can do it if they put in the time. It’s a skill like any other.
